Phoenix Bowmen Novice Competition 2024

Taking place: Saturday 27th April 2024

A relaxed and friendly shoot for archers with less than TWO YEARS of experience as an archer who will be Archer 1st (2nd Class in the old system) or below on the day. Experienced or higher-class archers are welcome to enter on the understanding that they will not be eligible for awards. To be held at Old Rishworthians RUFC's ground at Copley Lane, Copley, Halifax HX3 0UG.

Thirsk Bowmen WRS WA720 Weekend

Taking place: Saturday 27th April and Sunday 28th April 2024

World Record Status WA720 rounds.
Saturday will be a Double WA70 for recurve and longbow - 72 arrows at 70 metres in the morning followed by 72 arrows at 70 metres in the afternoon. World Record Status and WA Target Awards.
Sunday will be a Double WA50 for compound and Barebow - 72 arrows at 50 metres in the morning followed by 72 arrows at 50 metres in the afternoon. World Record Status + WA Target awards.
Please note there are no head-to-heads this year.

The Saint George Longbow Tournament

Taking place: Sunday 28th April 2024

To all those skilled at shooting in the long bow - Greetings! Be it known that the Bowmen of Adel, as custodians of the Royal Armouries Arrow, do invite all true and honest bowmen, shooting in a traditional longbow, to compete for the award of this perpetual trophy in a contest celebrating St George's Day.
Sherry and cake will be served as and when appropriate.

Panda Bowmen Pandamonium 28th Longbow Tournament

Taking place: Saturday 11th May 2024

Calling all longbow archers. The Pandamonium is back!
Panda Bowmen will be holding their long awaited Pandamonium on Saturday 11th May 2024.
One way Western shot to British Longbow Society rules.
Meet at 10:30 for 11:00 assembly.

A one-way Hereford round for longbows, shot to British Longbow Society rules. Open to Archery GB and BLBS members. To be held on Father's Day, though ladies and juniors are of course very welcome! 10:00 AM assembly. A mobile fish & chips van will be on site. An Agincourt volley will be shot. Derbyshire Archery Club Dan Doxey Longbow Open Tournament

Taking place: Sunday 16th June 2024

Derbyshire Archery Club will hold the Dan Doxey Longbow Open Tournament on the Great Lawn at Kedleston Hall. A Windsor round will be shot. First arrows at midday. To be held at Kedleston Hall, Derby DE22 5JD.

Wharfe Valley Archers Midsummer Shoot

Taking place: Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd June 2024

Two day WA Field Mixed Round, incorporating the YAA Field Championships. Please note that YAA archers must shoot both days to be eligible for the county titles. Two-day entries will be prioritised - single day entries will be placed on a waiting list. Entry and payment is electronic only. Please note that there will be no catering, so please bring your own food. To be held at Farnley Hall, near Otley LS21 2QF.

Taking place: Sunday 23rd June 2024

The Bill Spencer Open Western (plus Western 50, Western 40 and Western 30) will be held at Allerton Park, Allerton Mauleverer, Knaresborough, North Yorkshire HG5 0SE. Hot butties and drinks will be available to purchase before sighters. Lunch with barbecue (included in the entry fee) after the first distance.

Bronte Archers Yorkshire Inter Club Tournament

Taking place: Sunday 11th August 2024

Bronte Archers welcome you all to the annual, friendly 5th Yorkshire Inter-Club Tournament shooting any one of the Albion and Windsor Imperial Rounds.
To be held at Rawdon Meadows Playing Fields, Harrogate Rd, Apperley Bridge, Bradford BD10 0NR.
Assembly at 10:00 AM.
This tournament is open to archers of all abilities, so If you're new to archery, choose the distance you're comfortable shooting e.g Windsor 60, 50, 40 or even 30.
It's all about gaining the experience of competition without the pressure of having to shoot your age related round.
Clubs are welcome to block book.
Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the day with 100% donated to charity, so please give generously.

The Ascham Silver Arrow 2024

Taking place: Saturday 14th September 2024

Two-way shooting at 80 yards, in three-arrow ends, for ladies shooting longbow, barebow or recurve. Because of ground limitations, we are not able to accommodate compound shooters. The Ascham Silver Arrow shall be awarded to the archer who first pierces the inner gold at 80 yards. To be hosted by St George's Archery Club at Home Farm, Allerton Mauleverer HG5 0SE
